The job: 

We are immediately looking to hire experienced Dual Fuel Smart Meter engineers. The successful candidate will report to their Regional Field Manager and will be responsible for providing industry leading customer service when installing the latest smart metering equipment. We are looking for customer and safety focused individuals.

Qualifications

  • Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) Experience.
  • In Date Industry Qualifications: CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent).
  • Certificate in Power (Logic or equivalent).
  • UK Driving Licence.

The job: 

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced fleet/stores operative in our training facility in Barwell, Leicestershire.

Reporting into the Fleet & Logistics Manager, the role will be to manage the small warehouse, ordering stock and starter kits and re-purposing stock from returned vans

Responsibilities

  • General warehousing duties including receipting goods in, maintenance of a tidy store and despatching items to customers or field-based colleagues
  • Placing purchase orders, chasing delivery dates, ensuring full receipt
  • Building safety processes including weekly fire alarm and emergency lighting testing
  • Assist with valeting and arranging collection/delivery of vehicles for servicing or repairs
  • Occasionally travelling across the UK to meet field-based colleagues to either collect returning vans or deliver replacement vans.
  • Provide remote support for logistics colleagues in Bolton office
  • Work with the on-boarding team to ensure all new starters arriving at the training centre have all necessary equipment, including tools, uniform, and PPE in time for their arrival with the business.
  • Ordering in all starter kits, liaising with new starters for uniform sizes
  • Sorting stock and tooling from returned vans, either locating goods in store, repurposing in new kits or returning stock to main warehouse for re-issue

Essential requirements:

  • Demonstrable logistics, warehousing, and fleet experience
  • Good communication skills with the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Analytical mind with problem-solving abilities
  • Results orientated with ability to problem solve and still deliver excellent client experiences
  • Self-motivated, conscientious, organised, and able to work well under pressure

This role additionally will involve some travel around the UK to deliver or collect vehicles, so a full, clean driving licence will be essential
